ROCKLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
For the ninth consecutive year, TheBoston Globenamed
Rockland Trust one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts.
The Globe’s annual survey ranked the Bank as the highest rated financial
institution among the state’s largest employers. Rockland Trust was also
the second highest ranked company in its category.
Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the
state voted on by the people who know them best – their employees. The
annual survey measures employee opinions about their company’s
direction, management, training, benefits, and job satisfaction.
“We are very honored that The Boston Globerecognized our Company
again as a top place to work. It’s been a year of growth and success for
Rockland Trust, and none of that would have been possible without our
amazing team,” said Christopher Oddleifson, Rockland Trust CEO. “This
truly speaks to our philosophy that investing in our colleagues creates
an engaged workforce that benefits our customers and communities.”
Founded 110 years ago, Rockland Trust has more than 1,200 employees,
nearly 90 branches, 11 commercial lending offices, and five investment
management centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Helping
springboard the Bank into the top rankings has been its ROCKCorp and
RockFIT programs. Recognized for its volunteerism in the community,
Rockland Trust provides its employees with two paid volunteer days each
year, resulting in hundreds of hours donated to local organizations. The
Bank also makes employee wellness a top priority, offering financial,
physical, and mental health support through its award-winning RockFIT
platform.
The rankings in the Top Places to Work are based on confidential
survey information collected by Energage, an independent company
specializing in employee engagement and retention. This year more than
75,000 workers at 334 Massachusetts companies completed the anonymous
surveys.
